March: Stop and Smell the Roses (and Cheezborgers) at Navy Pier!

Lush green gardens, stormy green clouds, and the green-flowing Chicago River – bring on all things green as we celebrate the start of spring at Navy Pier.

March 12-20 – THE CHICAGO FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW

Over 20 feature gardens from top designers bring visitors the first joys of spring and exciting ways to experience our great city with the new theme “CHICAGO IS.” The Marketplace’s 100 exhibitors is a shopper’s paradise; the Kids Activity Garden is so much fun, kids don’t realize how much they’re learning about greening our world. Garden Gourmet features top chefs with cooking demos. Experts present seminars on the best tricks and tips of gardening; Tablescapes show the most gorgeous, dreamy decor for indoor or outdoor dining, and the “Art of Floral,” features interpretive floral designs.

Now thru March 27 – TORNADO ALLEY 3D

Join Storm Chasers star Sean Casey and the researchers of VORTEX 2, the most ambitious effort ever made to understand the origins and evolution of tornadoes, on this heart-pounding science adventure. The stars of Tornado Alley take audiences on a thrilling quest to experience a tornado’s destructive power at point blank range, capturing the birth of a tornado with a 70mm camera and a journey into the heart of the storm.

March 12 – SHORELINE SIGHTSEEING ST. PATRICK’S DAY CRUISE

Enjoy an Irish buffet filled with corned beef and cabbage, indulge in a full service cash bar, and tap your toes to live Irish music – all while cruising along the gloriously green Chicago River! Highly popular, completely festive, and a great way to celebrate St. Pat’s Day.
